Focallocal is gathering local people to make where they live Beautiful! #guerillaurbanbeautication

Below are some photo’s of a horribly neglected area in the Maiden Lane estate, in Camden London. The story i heard is that the council disputes who is responsible for the area, and so its been left as a dump for close to 30 years. We’re bringing local people together to take ownership for their community, by creating beautiful gardens and landscape to create a lovely walk to school for all the families and children who regularly use the path, and to make the local area a more pleasant place to live. I’m sure those kids would have a nicer start to the day if their walk to school involved a magical oasis of creativity and nature ..than through this horrible eye-sore.Send us an email if you’d like to know more, join in, or help us contacting local businesses to gather materials, seeds and plants.Beautification begins on the 26th and 27th of September

TAKE A SMILE EVENT at the Immigration Office in Barcelona

Katerina’s idea to try Take a Smile outside the Immigration Office in Barcelona was a spark of genius! Many people came out of that building looking fed up, and we lifted their spirits by inviting them to take a smile. I’m sure there were also many who had recently arrived in the country, and its a lovely thought that we helped shape their first impressions in a positive way

Amazing bargains, from massages to gigs in your living room, painting and climbing weekends + support the Focallocal project!

(as i write you could get both for £5!!!)

Kindness Auction, BBQ and Van Painting – and a big thank you!!

I’ve done this because i have to explore whether Focallocal, the project i started can make a difference to the World. Huge thanks to everyone it was a fabulous day!!!
