how can we ‘positively’ halt the flood of fake news? new project!

It’s as if most bloggers, media and news sites have reached a point where they’ve realised there really is no down-side in misrepresenting, or simply inventing facts to support their stories. If it agrees with their beliefs most readers will share it anyway, and those who do call it out only increases the attention they get ..and of course in turn their profits…

Hack Homelessness and Happiness – February 4th and 5th 2017

We’ve been working on this resource map for 1.5 years now and it’s close to launch. This Hack-Day is to finally finish it, and promote it so it can begin helping those on the streets all around the World.

The map is called the ‘Brighter Tomorrow’s Map’ and it lists all the resources available to people who are living on the streets, with a focus on reducing the barrier between the public who want to do something to help, and those who are living on the streets around the World.

The Big Street Sleeper Resource Map (Brighter Tomorrow Map)

You’ve seen the astronomical increase in people sleeping on the streets. Its despicable and needs to change. With politicians moving their policies in entirely the opposite direction; despite many studies showing that it costs the state more to deal with the issues caused than it does to support people and help them from falling into that state in the first place.

We need to do something, and so we’re creating a big map for free resources which societies most vulnerable can use find what they need to meet their basic needs, and begin to change their situation.

Focallocal is gathering local people to make where they live Beautiful! #guerillaurbanbeautication

Below are some photo’s of a horribly neglected area in the Maiden Lane estate, in Camden London. The story i heard is that the council disputes who is responsible for the area, and so its been left as a dump for close to 30 years. We’re bringing local people together to take ownership for their community, by creating beautiful gardens and landscape to create a lovely walk to school for all the families and children who regularly use the path, and to make the local area a more pleasant place to live. I’m sure those kids would have a nicer start to the day if their walk to school involved a magical oasis of creativity and nature ..than through this horrible eye-sore.Send us an email if you’d like to know more, join in, or help us contacting local businesses to gather materials, seeds and plants.Beautification begins on the 26th and 27th of September
